Do you believe there are treasures in the ocean?
Or that a grain of sand can grow to be a pink pearl?
Do you believe that an emerald is just compressed carbon?
Or that trapped boron particles turn a diamond blue?

Do you believe that there has never been a woman on the moon?
Or that for half an hour we were single cells?
Do you believe that children can smell better than adults?
Or that babies don't produce tears until three months old?

Do you believe that it takes eight minutes for sunlight to reach us?
Or that Saturn would float in a bowl of water?
Do you believe that the moon is moving away from the earth?
Or that a comets tail always points away from the sun?

Do you believe that Shakespeare invented 2035 words?
Or that Picasso burnt his paintings for warmth?
Do you believe we don't know where Mozart is buried?
Or that Thomas Edison was afraid of the dark?

Do you believe that the world is full of disbelief?
The line referring to children smelling better than adults is talking about their sense of smell.

I really like like this piece. I feel like if there had been some more rhyme then it would have flowed slightly better, but i'm not a huge fan of writing rhyme either, so nevermind. >.<

I didn't know Thomas Edison was afraid of the dark. =]
